Eclipse IDE for Java Developers is one of the available, free Java Development Environments. It's used by the core-team of GenJ.

Follow these steps to get GenJ running from Source inside Eclipse.

  1. install Subclipse
  2. start eclipse and switch to the SVN Repository perspective
  3. add a new SVN repository location
  4. check out the genj module
  5. return to the Java perspective and look for Gen's Debug launch configuration
  6. choose Java Application|GenJ and click on Debug

(started once GenJ will also show up in the selection behind the Debug button for quick access)
  7. GenJ should start and greet you with the GenJ workbench
(main code of interest is in src/core/**)
