A submitter (SUBM) is an individual or organization who has submitted or generally contributed to certain information or transfers the file to someone else. He may also play the role of the author or owner of the data.

The submitter record identifies an individual or organization that contributed information contained in the GEDCOM transmission. All records in the GEDCOM file are assumed to be submitted by the submitter referenced in the HEADer, unless a SUBMitter reference inside a specific record points at a different submitter record.

For an Individual we can create or link to further submitters who are interested in additional research for ancestors (ANCI) or descendants (DESI) of this individual.

The submitter record contains names, addresses, notes, and multimedia links.
