I surfed the net for some specifications and found two PDF documents with GEDCOM 5.5 and 5.5.1 specifications:

a) GEDCOM 5.5

Does GenJ support GEDCOM 5.5 or 5.5.1 ??

GenJ is striving for Gedcom 5.5 and I've used that as a reference for some time now.

I'll have to check 5.5.1 sometime to see what has changed

I just looked into the GEDCOM 5.5.1 specification. We shouldn't support this version because it's marked as draft.

Is it really 5.5.1 ?
I mean you said this in some another topic, but I've downloaded GenJ 2.4.4 version and it does not support 5.5.1 features like WWW, EMAIL and some other tags for INDI.

as discussed in the other thread GenJ is striving for 5.5 or 5.5.1 depending on the header info.

Since there's no official test it's a "lim genj(.ged)=5.5|5.5.1" thingy Smile
