multiple spouses in tree view

Postby mjett » Mon Oct 06, 2008 20:14:12

Thanks for this great free software!

I understand if you hit the > the other spouse with relating family information will appear. However, I was wondering if there was a way so that both spouses appear simultaneously in tree view? Thanks for all your hard work.

Hi there

atm only one spouse is shown - that's supposed to change but that has been the case for a while.

Please also check out the reports - one of it can generate a diagram with all related individuals.

Well it's nice to know I can point out things you guys want to change ;) J/K Do you happen to know which report is the one that will print out all of the ancestors?
Thanks for your quick replies,

I am using GenJ specifically because t creates nice trees
I finally found that "report" view and found this thread - to answer the unanswered questions, here is my 2ct:
the current URL for the "graphical genealogy tree" report is: ... phicaltree
To create that tree, choose View > Reports > graphical genealogy tree
There are a few useful options here, including output format. I usually choose "PDF" because with Acrobat, I can later tile a huge PDF onto many pages when printing.
Then choose the "root person" for that report - it does not take the current view, even when you are in tree view in GenJ. The tree will be produced up and down from that person.
Only thing that puzzles me is how to get all generations in one row, the report likes to shift generations. But that is another story :)
